Dycem, in collaboration with Vet-Tech, is a globally trusted partner within the biomedical and veterinary sectors, supporting floor-level contamination control. Dycem mats provide a proven, passive, and reusable solution that captures up to 99.9% of particles from footwear and wheels before they enter controlled areas. This includes both non-viable and viable contamination, with microbial control supported by Biomaster silver ion technology impregnated throughout the polymer matrix.
Unlike disposable sticky mats, which can tear, release particles, and create waste, advanced polymeric mats offer a more effective alternative. Peel-off mats are only around 27% effective (Clibbon, 2002) and can release over 100,000 particles back into the air when peeled (Sandle, 2012). Designed for long-term use, Dycem mats provide consistent performance without the need for frequent replacement, while remaining compatible with both pedestrian and wheeled traffic (up to 70 kg/cm² or ~1.5 Tonne) common in animal facilities.
