Downdraft Ventilated Workstations
Our Downdraught Tables can be produced in any modular size up to 3000mm in a single length and be fixed or variable height. These are designed to provide a ventilated workstation for a wide variety of procedures including gross examination and sectioning of anatomical pathology specimens, necropsies, perfusions, dissections and chemical handling.
As all stainless steel fabrication is undertaken in-house. Our downdraught table is provided with seamless one-piece worktop complete with integrally formed sumps, sink bowls and rear up stands. Formalin dispensing and waste systems. All are available as fully exhausted to atmosphere with several options being available for filtered recirculating air by employing our dedicated Fan Filter Unit (FFU).
Ventilated Wet Specimen Storage.
Our Ventilated Specimen Store has been installed in many hospital Pathology & Histology Departments. Pathological specimens are generally kept in plastic containers closed with a lid which means that during storage evaporation of formaldehyde cannot occur unless there is a spill or the container’s outer surface is “contaminated” by formalin. UK Health & Safety Legislation dictates the maximum background levels of formalin that are permitted within the laboratory and the safe and proper storage of wet specimens within a correctly ventilated store ensures OEL levels are adequately managed.

We are committed to quality control and assurance in all our activities and are independently certified with accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001. To further support the quality of our products a 3 Year Manufacturing Warranty is included as standard.
Sheet metal, tubular steel and stainless steel manufacturing are in-house. Sub-contracting of specialised services is limited to powder coated finishes. Investment has been made to automate all standard sheet metal folding and punching operations with CNC equipment, however many traditional hand fabrication skills are still regularly employed and this is recognised throughout the industry as one of the highly favoured attributes of this company.
