Traditional hand rubs are based on alcohol as the active ingredient, but that has led to numerous concerns.
Three of the most prominent concerns are:
- Alcohol evaporates before it has killed bacterial and fungal spores and the highly infections small viruses like Norovirus
- Alcohol stings when it enters cuts and grazes in the skin and should therefore not be used by anyone with damaged skin
- Alcohol is offensive to certain religious groups and many animal species.
Supplied in 5 litres (packed two per box) for refilling wall-mounted dispensers.
Also available in 500ml plastic bottles with foam pumps, packed twenty-four per box.
